Check yourself before you wreck yourself!
Yesterday I made a rookie WW mistake… I didn’t check the points before I ate. The food in question was fish tacos, and even though they were fried I though, “How bad can they be?”
Definitely worse than I thought. That’s over half of my daily allotment! AND I had a larger than normal breakfast, so I was *cough, cough* screwed! So I needed to be super creative when going into my next meal. One of my favorite quotes to fall back on is “You’re only as good as your next meal”. This had never been truer than yesterday (Or maybe that day I spent 100+SP in one day… That’s a story for another time). I input everything, and was shocked to see that I had only 4SPs left. I lost on Saturday (1.2 lbs *woot, woot*), so that means I lost daily points too. But I have to get my blue dots! So what to do?
What can you do with 4SPs?
Quite a bit actually. I opened up my Weight Watchers Essential Freestyle Cookbook and started flipping pages. I LOVE this cookbook. Each recipe is centered around zero point foods, while adding a few other foods. The recipes only take 30 minutes or so to make, and most of them aren’t overwhelming with the number of ingredients. I picked the Chicken with Fresh Tomato-Balsamic Sauce. It came together very quickly, and was super delicious. The best part though? It’s only 4SPs for a serving! I had leftovers today with some quinoa, for a total filling lunch of 7SPs.
Did you say lunch?
I always try to pack my lunches, keyword there being TRY, and there’s nothing I love more than a good lunch box. In the past I’ve used these containers (they’re AWESOME), but recently I bought the Prepd Pack. And I love it. It’s got an amazing app that suggests recipes, and the containers are the perfect size for healthy meals. You can buy more containers, and I love that the lids have a little sauce container that hooks on. This way your food doesn’t get soggy with dressing or dipping sauces. And it just looks stinkin’ cool.
You’re probably wondering where the Bodyboss update is? Well it had to take a small backseat. I’ve got something very exciting coming up with my business, and I can only have so many things on the top shelf at once. I am doing an app every so often (I’m supposed to do it every day). It’s called Seven and it’s based around doing a 7 minute workout every day. You gain hearts each time you workout, and those hearts go towards a 7 month achievement. I LOVE LOVE LOVE little goals like that. It’s kinda like my blue dots I get from WW, if I have a “gold star” to work towards, I get extra motivated!
